Long long ago (2008-ish) in a galaxy right here, A little girl got to church to find her friends all looking at a catalog. The catalog was full of beautiful dolls, but the little girl fell in love with Taryn.

She ran home and counted all her money, she just had enough.

Taryn became her new best friend, they went everywhere together.

The little girl and her father made a bunk bed, and the next three years of her allowances went towards doll clothes.

But in about 2010 the girl, no longer little, grew out of dolls, and poor Taryn, though still loved, was left unplayed with.

In the early fall of 2016, the girl had finally been allowed to have a Pinterest account. As she scrolled through her feed, one picture caught her attention. It was of an American Girl Doll with curly blonde hair.

She clicked the picture and followed the link, and it took her to a site called Dolly Dorm Diaries. She began reading the stories and she fell in love with how the dolls acted so much like people. Soon she had read every single post.

She tried some other blogs, but Dolly Dorm Diaries was special. Finally, after about two weeks of reading the posts there, she got up the nerve to comment. Lanie had become her favorite dolly at the dorm, and she told her so.

Another week later, she had a profile written for Taryn, now all she needed to do was convince her parents to let her have a blog of her own. (Which was a lot easier than she thought it would be.)

But for the name.

What would she call her blog. Something catchy, easy to remember.

Well, she lived on a farm, and this blog would chronicle her dolls life. It only seemed natural.

Life of a Farm Doll.

Notice the singular 'Doll' in the title. Claire, Charlie, Kit, Ruthie, Lanie, Afton, Molly, and Amelia were quite unexpected additions. XD

Over the years the girl began to like other blogs too, But

Dolly Dorm Diaries and Lanie have always been very special.
